Volunteer

When you board an airplane, the flight attendant will instruct during the safety briefing, 'in the case of an emergency, be sure to put your oxygen on before helping those around you.' I just want to take a brief pause to say, this section is extremely important and can be invaluable to the woman trying to find her purpose again. HOWEVER, do not jump from one busy phase of life and right into the next phase with volunteering unless you are truly ready. Be sure to 'put on your own oxygen first.' What I mean, make sure that you are grounded and you have found your healthy routine to take care of YOU before you dive head first into volunteering.

Volunteering offers a multitude of benefits, not only to the communities and causes being served but also to the individuals who choose to give their time and energy. Beyond the satisfaction of making a positive impact, volunteering provides invaluable personal growth opportunities. It fosters a sense of connection and belonging, enhances social skills, and expands your network. Additionally, volunteering can boost mental and physical well-being, offering a sense of purpose and fulfillment that can lead to reduced stress and increased happiness.  In essence, the benefits of volunteering extend far beyond the act itself, enriching both individuals and communities alike.

When you are 'good to go' health wise and need some meaningful activity - find out what makes you thrive and jump in!

I will be giving examples of volunteer opportunities out there for you. If you have one you would like me to promote, please send me a message!

MySeaHope

Meet my parents. My dad is a retired Naval officer and my mom is the hostess with the mostess. In their 60s, they sold everything and went 'all in' on a mission they founded - MySeaHope.

Sea Hope is a Christ-centered ministry that seeks to provide for the spiritual and physical needs of people throughout the  Caribbean.  This is accomplished by using a ship to carry supplies and manpower for disaster relief, short term medical, dental, and eye care clinics, and evangelistic outreaches while being ambassadors for Christ.
